There are plenty of studies out there (and even more opinions based on…something? maybe?) saying that Facebook limits reach on 3rd party schedulers (like SmarterQueue). That when you schedule your content with a tool, fewer people will see it, and that it’s better to schedule natively inside of Facebook, and best is to just post live.
I don’t care.
I don’t care if that’s true.
Or that if I posted all of my content without scheduling, it would reach a few more people.
You know why?
Because without SmarterQueue, my content WOULDN’T go out. And when it did, there wouldn’t be planning. And until Facebook provides the level of analytics available from a third-party tool, I will continue to use it.
What’s better: being attached to your alarms so you remember to copy and paste your content at specific times, multiple times, every day, wondering if it’s working well, but knowing that maybe, a couple more people are seeing your words and face
Or well-researched content that you know your customers need, that is saving you time, going out consistently, and getting slightly less reach (maybe)?
I don’t know about you, but the latter is light years ahead for me.
If it’s saving me time, I’m doing it.
If it’s removing stress from my day, I’m doing it.
If it’s giving me better data and analytics, you KNOW I’m doing it.
So that’s why I don’t care if Facebook limits reach on 3rd party schedulers. Because the alternative isn’t fair to my community (through inconsistency and not knowing if it’s actually what you care about) or to me (with added stress and time commitment).
My favorite 3rd party scheduler is SmarterQueue, and if you’re curious why, I go into it here. What’s yours?
